Prior to October 26th, 2005 the RSS served by Xanga was incorrect, and caused problems with certain newsreaders. This script was a solution to that problem. However, going forward Xanga has gotten their house in order and now returns valid RSS 2.0. Valid RSS feeds for Xanga blogs can now be found at addresses of the form:

http://www.xanga.com/rss.aspx?user=USERNAME

This service has been modified so that given a username, it will return an RSS feed from the url above.
