Reboot

san_francisco129.jpg

I apologize if I've been distant lately; right now I'm in the process of rebooting my life.

Friday will be my last day with IBM.

Over the next few weeks I'll be relocating to the Bay Area to work for Google.

Friday? You're not going to wait around to see how awesome that new project office they're building across from our cubes is going to be?

Look forward to hearing from you a year from Friday. Enjoy that trip out west!

Woah, that sounds pretty exciting! Do you know where you'll be living or what team you'll be working on? Good luck with the transition.

Pat, I'm sure I'll look back fondly on the days of jackhammers, jigsaws, and nail guns outside my cubicle while coding ;)

Martin, I'm not quite sure where I'll be living yet. I'm staying in a corporate apartment for a bit while I look for a more permanent place.

Right now I think I'm leaning toward settling in Mountain View. Any tips?

I don't know what I'll be working on, and I'm sure I couldn't talk about it if I did ;)

I like how you linked to google's homepage to help us know which company you were talking about.
